Search Engine Optimized Articles – The New Break Through

Search engine optimization isn’t tricky. Search engine optimizers, if they are honest, only save you time when it comes to getting your website listed with search engines. Google and Yahoo and all those other search engines only want one thing, for websites with relevant content to be listed in appropriate order under key word terms and the highest number of provided content.

That’s it.

What does that mean? Each website falls under certain keyword terms. Each website also has content, in which case a search engine is only interested in the text provided on the website itself. Depending on how much relevant content is provided on a particular website, it will be listing in order of the most relevant with a higher number of pages with content first.

In addition, websites outside of your own website that has quality content that links to yours will also help evaluate relevance.

So in simpler terms, search engine spiders want content (articles or text) relevant to keywords (keywords integrated into text) and links from other websites with similar content (websites with articles just like yours).

Seems simple enough. Write articles and post them on your website and submit articles to other websites. Is it as easy as it sounds?

Writing Content that is Search Engine Optimized

Good content for a website must integrate your chosen keywords. Your website might sell candles but do you really think you should use ‘candle’ as your keyword? Such keywords are highly competitive and you might have better luck writing about a more defined keyword. A candle seller might instead work with ‘handmade soy candle’ or ‘cinnamon scented candle’ instead.

Throughout the article you must use your optimized keywords a number of times before search engines will consider your article of relevant content. This doesn’t mean you repeat your keywords to the point where the article sounds like a broken record. You really do need content that your visitors will actually read.

Try working with something simple. A list of the top ten ways to decorate your home with soy candles might be an idea for an

article. If you run out of ideas, you can always ask a freelance writing for some suggestions. They must come up with article ideas all the time and most will be glad to help brainstorm with you.

In addition, a freelance writer should be able to help you write your search engine optimized article at your request. Going rates are inexpensive, a 200 – 500 word article might only cost $45 - $100. These articles are professionally written and you retain the copyright so you can publish them wherever you like.

Sharing Your New Search Engine Optimized Article

With your article finished, you must now post your article to your website. You will want to great at least three to five articles for each keyword you want your website to be optimized for. Once these are in place, alter your meta tags to reflect the content of the keywords for that page.

Also, you can now post your article to various article banks if you choose. Article banks are depositories for writers to submit their article that they are willing to distribute for free. You can request that the author share the byline at the bottom of the page so that your link is provided whenever a website owner posts the article to their website. This means not only free exposure for you on their website, but you are fulfilling one of the things search engines are looking for, pages with relevant content are linking back to you.

Forget everything you thought you know about search engines and how it might have been difficult. Search engine spiders are getting smarter about relevant content for keyword terms. Writing articles not only fills in your website with quality content, it also provides you with a way to tell search engine spiders how relevant your articles are. Take advantage of this by writing your own article, or having a freelance writer work with you to create articles for you.
